This daily open-air market caters to resort clients from the surrounding area, it’s a good place to find that special gift to take home. They sell everything from clothes, hats, jewelry, masks, paintings, sculptures, ceramics, dolls, wall hangings, leather goods, to postcards, books, CD’s, etc., at a very reasonable price (remember to bargain!).

Visiting the market can be more than a shopping opportunity, make it a cultural experience too. Take the time to chat with the local artisans and learn about their craft. Have a drink and relax in one of the surrounding bars and cafes. And while you’re in town, why not have a bite or full meal in one of the local restaurant or palapar (small family-run restaurant).
