The hotel occupies the entire area of the beach. This hotel has been built to be a Club Med, but the project never took place (political problem). Formerly administered by the Occidental hotel chain, is now under the banner Sirenis. The « highlight » of this hotel is the 5-steps pool.
Playa Yuraguanal is an artificial beach about 500 meters length with white sand and crystalline water. This beach has unfortunately a big problem, seaweed! As it is an artificial beach, alga tend to regain territory. Cubans have to remove manually the algae.
